I bought a box of parts that I assembled into a working computer all on my own. Imagine that! I was in effect my own OEM. In retrospect the system set up by Microsoft and Moduslink clearly had flaws. The inability by those involved to admit their failures and work to rectify things was aggravating.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As to my former employer. In either case they charged my credit card almost 1 year ago now so good louck me complaining to credit card company. I assumed this was a scam, but it proved to be genuine. After a barrage of e-mails to try to get a response a paid agin, assuming they had lost the details. Sure enough they also took the original payment. After asking for proof of duplicate payment in the form of bank statements they passed it to a finance section, who asked for confirmartion of my address. This done, they now say because the details I gave are different to the original order I have failed validation and they 'cannot help me further in this matter'. The diference was that the county was not in the original order because there was no field on the web form to include it! This is beyond comprehension, and amounts to fraud in my mind. Have asked for it to be taken higher up the chain, with the threat of legal action. Not sure how I can back that up as the redemption centre is in a different country [Netherlands, I/m in UK] so small calims action seems difficult.
